This summer, after long hours of work, I finally was able to complete the creation of the first live show for my music project, Asceta. It was the first time I put together a production like this one. Bringing together motion graphics with live music was a big challenge but I was always guided by my intuition and the advice of my collaborators. With the use of pre-hispanic instruments, combined with ancient instruments from other parts of the world and modern instrumentation, I attempted to create a narrative that will provoke vitality, self awareness and an enhanced perception of our relationship to our planet Earth to the audience. This project was done in collaboration with choreographer Paco Ziel, dancer Maika Giasson, lighting designer Benoit Lariviere, photographer Miguel Labastida, and motion graphic designer Francisco Fonseca. This was done thanks to the support of the CALQ and the Maison de la Culture de NDG. The piece will be premiered in 2024!
